Devices and apps

Three devices on the floor. Two apps in a pocket.

One app runs the floor, and what it becomes depends on where you stand it: the till at the counter, the kitchen screen on the pass, the host stand at the door. Two more live on a phone — one for whoever runs the place, one for the people who eat with you.

Three devices

One app. Stand it where it's needed.

A kitchen screen isn't a till with the sell buttons hidden, and a host stand isn't a booking website on a tablet. Each is the same app doing the job of the spot it stands in, so a tablet can be a till on Tuesday and a second kitchen screen on Saturday.

  • POS · Android tablet or handheld

    The till

On the counter, behind the bar

Your menu on big buttons, cash and cards, tabs and tables, and the cash-up at close — and it keeps selling when the wifi doesn't.

    • Sells with no signal
    • Cash, cards and split bills
    • Unlimited tills per site
  • KDS · Android tablet or screen, full screen

    The kitchen screen

On the pass, on the line

The ticket rail without the paper: what to cook, for whom, in what order, and how long it has been waiting. Bumped when it's up.

    • Oldest ticket first
    • Modifiers nobody misreads
    • Bump, with an undo
  • Host · Android tablet, full screen

    The host stand

    At the door

Tonight at a glance: who's due, who's late, which tables free up when, and where to put a walk-in without breaking a booking.

    • Tonight by time
    • Seat a party in a tap
    • A walk-in queue

Two apps

And two that live on a phone.

A phone is nobody's till. These are the two jobs a phone is genuinely better at: the owner who isn't in the building, and the customer deciding where to eat.

And the back office

Which isn't an app at all.

It's a website. Open it in any browser on a laptop, a phone or the tablet itself: the menu, the numbers, the team, the stock and every site. Nothing to install, and nothing to keep up to date.

The back office

For the owner and the office

Not an app — a website. Where the business is set up and read in full: the menu, the day's numbers, the team, stock, guests and every site.

  • Nothing to install
  • One menu, every till
  • Every site in one view
About the back office

One system

Five screens. Nothing to reconcile.

Most venues end up with a till from one company, a booking system from another, and a spreadsheet joining them up. The joining up is the job nobody was sold. Every Tenvelo device and app reads and writes one system, so there's nothing to join.

  • One menu

Set an item, a price or an allergen once. Every till, the kitchen screen, your ordering page and the Tenvelo app all show it.

  • One order ledger

A counter sale, a tab, an online order and a table order are the same kind of thing, so the kitchen, your stock and your reports see one stream.

  • One guest

The regular who books, orders online and pays at the bar is one person with one history, not three records in three systems.

  • One set of numbers

Every screen reads the same takings, so the figure on the owner's phone is the figure on the Z report.

Every screen

And who stands in front of it.

Each screen does one job for one person: the pass, the door, the drawer, the diary. Nothing is hidden three menus deep because it belonged to somebody else's screen.

Questions

Questions people ask.

How many apps is Tenvelo?
Two phone apps, plus the till. The till app is installed on the tablets that become your till, your kitchen screen and your host stand. Tenvelo Manager and the Tenvelo app go on a phone — one for whoever runs the place, one for your customers. The back office is a website, so there's nothing to install for it.
Do I need a separate kitchen display system?
No. A kitchen screen is a tablet running the same app, told at pairing that it's a kitchen screen. No second system, no second licence, and no bridge between the two to go wrong.
Do I pay for each till or screen?
No. Run as many tills, kitchen screens and host stands per site as you like — a plan is priced per site, not per device.
Can one tablet do two jobs at once?
No, and that's on purpose: a device is paired as a till, a kitchen screen or a host stand so staff always know what's in front of them. You can pair it as something else when the room changes.
What does it all cost?
The till app and the back office are on the Free plan, with no contract. Plus is £59 and Pro £129 per site a month, adding tables, the kitchen screen, online orders and more.
