The till
Quick at the counter, on the tablet you already own.
Tenvelo turns an Android tablet into a till. Your menu on big buttons, cash with the change worked out, cards from the machine you already have, and refunds, discounts and tips sorted in a couple of taps.
Ringing up
Made for a queue out the door.
The till is laid out like your menu, on buttons big enough to hit without looking. Nothing to learn beyond where the flat white is.
Tap to sell
Your menu in colour-coded categories. Tap an item twice and you've sold two.
Options nobody forgets
Milk, sides, how the steak's cooked: if a choice is needed, the till asks before the item goes on, so the mistake's caught at the counter, not the pass.
Eat in or take away
Mark each sale as eat in, takeaway or delivery, and the right VAT follows on its own.
Notes on any item
“No onions” goes on the line, prints on the kitchen ticket and shows on the kitchen screen.
Taking payment
However they pay, the takings add up.
Cash, cards on your own machine, loyalty points or a gift card, in any mix. Every payment is recorded against the sale it paid for.
Cards on the machine you already have
Take the card on your own card machine, from any provider, and record it on the sale with its tip. Card payments through Tenvelo are coming soon.
Cash, done for you
Tap the note you're handed and the change is on screen. No mental maths at the end of a double shift.
Split the bill
Split it evenly, by what each person had or by seat, or take £20 in cash and the rest on card.
Tips kept apart
Tips on card or cash are held separately from your takings, so they never muddy the numbers.
Putting it right
Mistakes happen. Fixing them is quick.
Refunds, voids and freebies each ask for a reason and record who did them, so nothing disappears without a trace.
Refunds
Refund the whole sale or just one item, choose how the money goes back, and whether the items go back into stock.
Voids
Rung up the wrong thing? Void it with a reason and the stock goes straight back.
Discounts and comps
Named discounts by percentage or amount, and items on the house with a reason, reported separately so you can see what was given away and by whom.
A manager's PIN, on the spot
Anything over the limit you set asks for a manager. They enter their PIN on the same till, and both names are recorded.
