The back office
The whole business, in any browser.
Set the menu once and every till has it. Read the day as it happens, approve the week's timesheets, count the stock, and see every site side by side — from a laptop at home or the phone in your pocket.
Any web browser
The real back office, recorded — not a mock-up.
1.
Today, at a glance
What you've taken so far, from any browser.
2.
Four weeks of trade
Pick any dates and see how the weeks compare.
3.
The Z report
The end of the day, added up for you.
4.
Floor and kitchen
Your tables and what the kitchen's cooking, from the office.
5.
Your regulars
Know who your regulars are, all in one place.
Set it up once
Change it here, and every till follows.
One menu, one set of prices, one floor plan, however many tills, kitchen screens and host stands you have. Nothing is typed into a device twice, and nothing drifts between two of them.
The menu, in one place
Items, categories, options, allergens and prices, for one site or all of them. A price change is on every till within seconds, and on your ordering page too.
The room, drawn once
Tables, seats and sections drawn in the office show up as the floor plan on every till at that site, and on the host stand at the door.
Devices that know their job
Pair a tablet and tell it what it is — a till, a kitchen screen or a host stand — then name it to its site. Printers and card terminals the same way.
Who may do what
Staff, roles and the limits that ask for a manager's PIN — set here, enforced on every till.
Read the day
Open it and it tells you what's up.
Home is today against the same day last week, and the few things actually waiting on you. Every report under it shares one header: the dates, a comparison, which site, and export.
What needs attention
An online order nobody's accepted, a till that hasn't synced, a day nobody closed — on the first screen, not buried in a report.
The numbers that settle arguments
Sales by hour, product and channel; product mix; labour against takings; discounts, comps and voids; and the cash drawers.
End of day, closed properly
One Z report per site per day. Once a day is closed its report is kept, and a late change shows as a dated correction rather than a silent edit.
Out to your accountant
Every order and every report as a spreadsheet, and sales, VAT and tips straight into Xero or QuickBooks.
Run the week
The jobs that aren't the lunch rush.
Everything that happens around service, in the same place as the numbers that tell you how it went.
Rota, hours and tips
The week's rota, the time clock, timesheets to approve, and tips shared by the rule you set and recorded against the people who earned them.
Stock that reconciles
A stocktake that tells you what's missing, waste with a reason, reorder levels, purchase orders and suppliers.
Guests, loyalty and vouchers
The guest directory, your loyalty programme and its rewards, and every gift voucher with its balance and its movements.
Every site, side by side
One site, all of them together, or compared — each on its own trading day and in its own time zone.
Every screen
What's in the back office.
Each screen does one job for one person, and says who it's for.

Questions
Questions people ask.
- Do I have to install anything?
- No. The back office is a website: open it in any browser on a laptop, a phone or the tablet itself, sign in, and you're in. The app you install is the till, on the tablets that become your tills, kitchen screens and host stands.
- Is the back office free?
- Yes. The till app and the back office are both on the Free plan, with no contract. Plus and Pro add tables, the kitchen screen, online orders and more.
- Does it work on a phone?
- Yes — it's built to be read on a phone as well as a laptop. For the handful of things a manager does mid-service there's also Tenvelo Manager, the phone app.
- Can my staff have their own logins?
- Yes. Each person gets their own account and a role that says what they may see and do, so a supervisor isn't handed the takings and the bank details.
- Can I run several sites from one account?
- Yes. Set a menu or a price for one site or all of them, and read each site on its own, all of them together, or side by side.
- Can I get the raw data out?
- Yes. Every order and report downloads as a spreadsheet, there's an export to Xero and QuickBooks, and the same API the till uses is open to you.
