Tenvelo

Tenvelo for cafés

A café till that keeps up with the morning rush.

Oat milk and an extra shot in a tap, eat in or takeaway on every sale, and regulars earning their free coffee without a paper stamp card. On the Android tablet you already have, with no monthly fee for the till.

A day with Tenvelo

From the first flat white to cashing up.

  1. The 8am queue

Big buttons laid out like your menu, sizes on one tap, and the till won't let an order through without its milk choice. On to the next.

    The till →

  2. “Large, to take away”

Mark each sale as eat in or takeaway and the right VAT goes on by itself, with no second copy of your menu.

    The till →

  3. The tenth coffee's free

Run a stamp card or points. Regulars check their stamps from the code on their receipt, with no app to download.

    Loyalty →

  4. “Does this have nuts in?”

The allergens in each product are recorded, so the answer is written down rather than remembered.

    Menu and prices →

  5. Out of banana bread

The till shows how many are left and greys it out at zero. Mark it sold out and your ordering page follows within seconds.

    Stock and suppliers →

  6. Closing up

A blind cash count, the over or short worked out, and the day's Z report ready to print at the till.

    Takings and cash-up →

When the wifi drops

The signal drops. The queue never notices.

Plenty of tills stop when the internet does, and you only find out with a queue in front of you. Tenvelo does the work on the tablet in your hand, so a dead router, one bar of 4G in a field, or a cellar with none at all is just a normal shift.

  • The festival field
  • The cellar bar
  • The van between pitches
  • The router that gives up at noon on a Saturday

Questions

Questions people ask.

Is Tenvelo good for a small café?
It's made for one. The till app and back office are free, it runs on an Android tablet you already own, and there's no contract.
How much does a café till system cost?
Nothing to start. The Free plan includes the till app and back office on your own Android tablet. Plus and Pro are priced per site, not per till, with no contract.
Can I run a stamp card?
Yes. Choose a stamp card or points per pound spent. Guests can check their balance by scanning the code on their receipt, with no app to download.
Can I use my existing card machine?
Yes. Take cards on the machine you already have and record them on the till, tip included, so your takings add up in one place. Card payments through Tenvelo are coming soon.
Does eat in or takeaway change the VAT?
Yes. Mark each sale as eat in or takeaway and the right VAT is applied by a rule, so you don't need two copies of your menu.
